A weeks journey...

Just had a week off work and i spent some time in the garden, enjoying the sun and doing some pruning and just general tidying up..
...

Then the rain came and so i spent a few days painting the old Welsh dresser and chair, that iv been meaning to do for a few years now and they look so much better

I'm NEVER doing a chair again, what a nightmare, next time i will spray paint a chair!...

It all looks so much cleaner and fresher, not to mention all my jugs and pots can now be seen a lot better...

Just lovely! As you say, fresher and brighter and very country cottage.
Your home is delightful.
I keep threatening to paint my pine bedside cabinets, but get put off by the rubbing down prior to painting.
Did you do much rubbing down?

Your dresser look lovely and that lamp looks great against the white. I've never painted a chair but I can well imagine that it is fiddly, time consuming and not really a whole lot of fun!

Hi Kath, thank you for your kind words, you should go for it.. I hardly did any sanding and i used kitchen cupboard paint by Crown, and was also able to get away from using a primer!...

Thank you Funkymonkey, thats what iv been tryinf to achieve so its really nice to hear that all mny hard work and vision is paying off..

Rowan, the chair was real fiddley, and i had to be careful there was no drips, but well worth it in the end...
