This is the first year iv seen these beauties, they have come in droves and they are demolishing the berry and fruit trees, a sure sign its a harsh winter.. Iv even had Thrushes in the garden and they are a rare sight here...

They are pretty birds aren't they? A couple of days ago I had a mixed flock of redwings and fieldfares in the garden. There's been one fieldfare around for a while but the redwings were a rare treat.

I will have to look out for them. I have noticed more field birds coming into the gardens lately, including a buzzard, being stormed by some crows.

They are stunning Rowan, from a distance i thought there were aload of fat Robins taking over the garden..LOL..

Kath, to see a buzzard is indeed a honor.. I think there were some crows eating from the bird table yesterday, not sure though as i was looking out of the bedroom window..xx
